It was a few more chapters of staring into the darkness while the audiobook played. I still didn’t get it. I mean it was cool high fantasy junk, but it wasn’t as sexy as she was making things out to be. I was focused on the book enough that for a moment I didn’t notice the monitor behind me turn on. I sat stock still when I did notice it and waited. I turned to the basement door and almost didn’t see the light from the other room when the door opened. If my wife wasn’t wearing a reflective white dress I wouldn’t have been able to see her as she was followed by two young men.

She looked down at me, well, down at my pants, and I tried to protest that I didn’t do anything. I didn’t really hear her, but she said something to me and turned up the volume of my audio book. So this time I wasn’t going to be able to hear. She pulled something out of her dark hair that I had completely missed. She had sunglasses on top of her head, and instead of zipping the eyes closed she put them over my eyes. I could see, but not very well.

She sat on the end of the bed and patted both sizes of the bed. The first young man hopped down on her left. He was taller than me, but shorter than the other man. He was wiry and dressed like a peasant. He actually carried a longbow but at closer look, it might have been a quarterstaff. He wore a wide brim hat and had a black scarf around his neck.

The other man looked hesitant. He was wearing an apron and gloves with sledge hammer at his side. He had long brown hair and was clean shaven. He was built like a defensive end. I was concerned with her being around two men with weapons that could take advantage of her against her will.

What the fuck was I thinking, she probably wanted that.She was running her hand between the legs of the man that sat down next to her while seeming to have a frank conversation with the built man. The lanky man had a look of pain on his face, as if he was getting pleasure, but he looked at the large man like he was going to ruin everything. Lanfear… he couldn’t think of her as his wife right now… looked like she was serious conversation with the larger man who was shaking his head. Lanfear reached into the pants of the man sitting next to her. That man took his hands and clasp them in prayer, as if begging the larger man about something. This was just as fun as watching her videos when she went out with guys. He assumed the guys were portraying Mat and Perrin based on the book and Perrin looked set in his ways.

I didn’t know what Lanfear said but Perrin’s jaw dropped and looked like he was shocked.
